What Data We Collect
We collect Provider and Patient users' user name, user voice, and inputs such as pressing buttons or moving Meta quest controllers. For Provider users only, we also collect doxy.me account ID, Meta ID, and Provider room code.
How We Use Your Data
Doxy.me uses your data to connect you with specific other users in the VR app, and to provide a personalized user experience. The data we collect are necessary to allow users to see, hear, and interact with each other during the session.
We collect and use these data to provide the Services:
- Meta ID and doxy.me ID to define a user's role during the session
- Input data from your headset and controllers to navigate You during use of the VR app
- User voice for audio communication between users connected to the same session
- The name entered by a Patient user so the Provider user can admit them in their lobby
We collect and store Provider users' Meta ID, doxy.me ID, and permanent room code. No other data are stored; they are used while You are in a session and then permanently deleted when the session ends.
We do not share any of these data with external parties for any reason.
How We Protect Your Data
All doxy.me data are stored in the highly secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) datacenter in the eastern U.S. that has industry best physical controls. The doxy.me support system, help center, and public facing website are independent services to ensure uptime and availability across the platforms. In addition:
- Doxy.me does not record the VR App session.
- We use the open standard WebRTC point-to-point NIST-approved AES 128 bit encryption for video & audio communication.
- Doxy.me uses full volume encryption and AES 256-bit standard encryption used on all data stored at rest on file servers with secure backups.
- All access to the doxy.me interface (such as the dashboard, waiting room, and any public webpages) is secured over TLS 1.2+ (https), ensuring the information is encrypted.
How To Delete Your Data
If You are a Patient user of the VR App, we store none of Your user data permanently. You can stop sharing Your data by leaving a session or closing the VR app.
If You are a Provider user of the VR App, we retain your doxy.me account information linked to your Meta account. You can modify or delete Your personal information at any time by unpairing your accounts on your Telehealth Tools dashboard. During a session, you can stop sharing Your data by leaving the session or closing the VR app.
